If you read his scrapbook, you'd find that the number one thing that bugs Philip Tull is "people not living up to their potential." That comes as no surprise considering Phil's burning desire to be all that God meant for him to be...to truly live up to his ultimate potential.
His name means "the strong one," and it's a name he does his best to live up to. Legend has it that Phil did not even cry at birth...and he continues to show his strength in various leadership positions, from captain of his soccer teams, to vice-president of the student body government, to church youth worship leader, and in everyday life as a brother, son, and friend.
An adventurer by nature, Phil thrives in situations that challenge and excite him. Whether he's conquering the outdoors fishing and hunting, wandering into a foreign land to study or do missions, or even taking the stage as an actor or musician, Phil puts his all into whatever he does in an effort to grow his sharp mind and his sharp wit.
To all who know Philip, it is obvious that he is a young man who is truly blessed...he is graced with a good nature, humor, intellect, athletic and artistic ability...the list is long. But one other thing Philip is blessed with is humility, for he truly is aware that all his gifts and rewards come only from God. And in his thankfulness, Philip is ready and willing to take on the responsibility of being greatly blessed by serving his God in any way he can. He expressed it best in a letter he wrote "to the world": "I have made a promise to myself and now I shall extend it to you...In everything I do, I shall do it to the best of my ability, whether it be garbage collecting or running the country as President...[I] will minister and through God's power and grace increase His kingdom."
As Phil forges ahead into his future, he continues to share his athletic talents with Southeastern University in Lakeland Florida, with a signed letter of intent to play soccer for their team the Fire. He will also be working hard alongside his big brother Andrew doing construction for Heard Concrete. But for all his hard work and commitment, Philip still knows how to kick back and relax...so you can be sure that he will also be taking some time to enjoy his family, friends, and freedom before taking on his next adventure as Philip-the-college-student.
