Robert W. Tull, Jr. is founder and president of Tull Financial Group, Inc., in Chesapeake, Virginia. With more than 30 years of financial planning experience in the Hampton Roads community, he is recognized as a specialist in the area of retirement and estate planning. He also provides highly individualized personal and business advisory services.
Robin, as most know him, entered the financial planning profession after receiving an MBA with a concentration in finance from The University of Houston. He publishes a newsletter, The Quarterly Report, which addresses the investment climate and practical planning topics.
While well-known locally as knowledgeable in financial matters, he is also recognized nationally, as a former "Ask the Expert" on Quicken.com's retirement web site. Robin has also contributed to The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Reader's Digest, CNNfn, SmartMoney Interactive, CBN Newswatch, and Financial Planning Magazine; and for ten consecutive years, he and his firm earned a coveted spot in Wealth Manager Magazine's ranking of America’s top wealth managers. He has been a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner for over 25 years, having served on the national board of directors for the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP) in Denver, Colorado (1996-1998) and as past president of the local Hampton Roads chapter.
Robin is extremely active in his community. A Rotarian for more than 20 years, he has served in various capacities including being honored as past president of the Rotary Club of Chesapeake, Virginia. He serves on the Chesapeake Hospital Authority board for Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, and was recently appointed chair of their Investment Committee. He was also a past chairman of the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Board of Directors having also served as finance chair and chairman of their Annual Gala. Robin is also a past Vice-Chair of the City of Chesapeake Other Post-Employment Benefits Board (OPEB), a past chairman of the Atlantic Shores Christian School Board, served on the Old Point National Bank Regional Advisory Board, and the Alumni Board of Oral Roberts University. He and his family currently attend RiverBend Church in Suffolk. Robin and his wife, Cathy, have four children -- Andrew, Courtnay, Philip, and Victoria.
Personal Interests: Robin enjoys snow skiing, golfing, and hanging out with his family.
